yea, i dont think he is her real father. maybe he raised her as his own
though when the others took her from danielle as a baby -- and maybe
now alex realizes what really happened....

This is Lost so there are lots of possibilities:

1) She's an Other and they're working together
2) She did recognize him, which is why she put an arrow in his shoulder
(though she said if she'd wanted to kill him she would have).
3) Her memory has been altered and she doesn't remember him. She may not
really even be French.
4) It was a one-night-stand and she was drunk.

Yes. IIRC, she gave birth about a month after being on the island.

I'm thinking foster father--after they took Alex from Rousseau. Their
befuddlement over how she got to the Hydra station island may imply
that she knows of a route between the two islands that the Others
don't.

I took this this whole thing as a means to illustrate that some of the
Others were deceiving Ben. When Ben asked if Alex had asked about him,
Juliet said no. This was not true because she did ask to talk to him
but the Others wouldn't let her and hustled her off who knows where.

They said they sent her to her room which sort of implied (to me) that
he knew what she had done and they sent her to her room to chill out.

Hmmm, I'm really not recalling what was said now. I just remember
thinking they sent her to her room (they could have said home and I'm
just remembering wrong) and I thought the they had just taken care of
the situation for the time being and she wasn't going to be attacking
people with slingshots anymore. It did seem they never told Ben she
wanted to talk to him.
I'm still not convinced he's a parental figure for her, but ya never
know. Even if he had raised her, I'm not sure she would refer to him
as Ben instead of Dad.

there is a fertility doctor their for a reason. perhaps Alex is his
daughter and that was part of sending Danielle's ship to the island

Perhaps, but all we know for certain is that Danielle <em>said</em> she
killed Alex's father, Robert. Danielle is an unreliable narrator: I do
not doubt her sincerity but her mental health is suspect.
